Streamed (Steam egg custard with crab stick)
How to streamed egg custard with crab stick
INGREDIENTS
STEP 1 - Preparation
- Prepare 3 beaten eggs, be as gentle as possible when whip the eggs to prevent too many air bubbles in the egg.
- Add same amount of cold water to whip with the beaten eggs.
- Cut the crab stick to 2cm long.
- Mix crab stick and 1/2 tea spoon of salt with beaten eggs.
STEP 2 - Steam egg custard
- Pour 500ml water into the wok.
- Raise the dish above the water by using a wire rack.
- Turn medium heat to boil the water then turn it to low heat.
- Place the dish on the wire rack and cover the wok by lid.
- Steam the eggs for 5-10 minutes.
- Make sure using a low to medium heat to steam the eggs.
- Once you see the surface of egg is coagulate, you can check is it fully cooked by putting a chopstick at the middle of egg.
- The timing is the most critical part, DO NOT cook it overtime.
STEP 3 - Egg custard Sauce
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Pour over the heated oil on the steamed egg.
- Then pour 2 spoon soy sauce over the egg.
- Enjoy.
