Pan-fry (Fried Macherel)
How to pan-fry Macherel fillet
INGREDIENTS
STEP 1 - Preparation
- Clean the fillet by tap water, add little bit salt and pepper on the fillet, keep in freezer for an hour.
- Prepare the fillet sauce by 100ml water, 3 tea spoon soy sauce, 1 tea spoon sugar, 1/2 tea spoon of sesame oil, little bit of salt and pepper.
- Bring the fillet out of the freezer, use kitcten paper to wipe off water.
- Cut the green onion to dices (please see hot to cut green onion in resouce link)
- Slice 2 pieces ginger and cut them to thin sticks.
- Prepare 50ml water mix with coin starch.
STEP 2 - Confirm the temperature of the pan
- Use medium to high fire to heat up the pan, then add 2 spoon oil until it heated.
- Turn the fire to medium.
STEP 3 - Pan-fry the fillet
- Add ginger into the heat pan with 2 spoon oil.
- Place the fillet on the pan.
- Fry the fillet for five minutes in one face. (do not move it or turn over)
- Turn over to other face to cook another five minutes.
- Now you can see it is well done with a crisp golden crust.
STEP 4 - Cook fillet sauce
- Heat the prepared fillet sauce with medium heat.
- Add green union dices.
- Add 50ml water mix with coin starch (After stiring the sauce will become creamy).
- Place sauce on the fillet.
- Done.
